In October of 2004 the lord laid it upon Gil Acosta’s heart to start a motorcycle ministry that was a part of Calvary Chapel Joshua Springs in Yucca Valley, California. For many months he prayed and waited for conformation from the Lord about certain things he had thought of and drawn up. After having these “ideas” confirmed by some of his closest friends, Gil drew up a patch and brought the whole idea to the senior pastor of the church. Pastor Jerel Hagerman absolutely agreed to the whole thing and off Gil went in search of a patch maker and some fellow Christian brothers and sisters to become members and start this new ministry.

  In March 2005, this “idea” that the Lord had laid on Gil’s heart became a reality as 6 Christians were “prayed in” as the new Calvary Chapel Riding Ministry of Joshua Springs. Once we became a chapter the Lord laid it upon Gil’s heart to have a ministry chapter in every Calvary Chapel all over the world.

  In 2009 Gil became Senior Pastor of a church in Rialto, CA. and Pastor Jerel decided that the ministry would be more fruitful if the ministry was turned back to the church. Pastor Jerel turned to Dan and Randy to reorganize the ministry and to see where the Lord will lead us.

  Ever wanted to gather a few good friends from church and go riding? Ever feel there was something more you could do as a Christian motorcycle rider? Well if you have answered yes to any of these questions, maybe this ministry is for you.

  What can a Christian motorcycle ministry do? Well.. EVERYTHING! We go to jails and pray for people, bringing some of them to the Lord, we go to hospitals and pray, bike run, car shows, parades even picnics! I guarantee no matter where you go, someone will ask about the patch or ask you to pray for them. It is a great opportunity to witness to people.

  The Lord doesn’t care what kind of bike you ride and neither do we. Why not do both ride your motorcycle and do the Lord’s will for HIS glory! It is a true blessing, not to mention also a lot of fun to ride and serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
